Many centuries ago in France, the noble chevaliers of the order of Saint Esprit, the First Royal order of in this country was wearing a sign as a blue ribbon which signified to be aware by well known ladies and gentlemen. At that moment, the name was taken as simple Cordons Bleus and later on was renamed. The Commanderie des Cordons Bleus was founded in 1949 by Mr. Gaston Gerard, French Minister of Tourism and the Mayor of Dijon, the capital of Burgundy and the order of Cordons Bleus and the Duke of Burgundy was stronger than the whole country of France. Therefore, the Commanderie des Cordons Bleus became a unique character and glorify for his culinary art in the old French tradition and to those who live well. To describe the gastronomy, it is not necessary for people who eat deluxe food or expensive food. It is only to those who have good taste and good health and also to those who have self respect need to be civilized, educated and know a little bit about French food and wine.
